Here is how this works in practice. Film preservation is part of Morocco's national cultural infrastructure. The CCM, the Centre Cinématographique Marocain, is the national film authority and keeps the country's film archive, holding decades of Moroccan cinema and the records of global shoots serviced here. Archive work supports that heritage — Morocco's long history of hosting epics from 'Gladiator' to HBO's 'Game of Thrones'. The today's work of auteurs such as Maryam Touzani, whose 'The Blue Caftan' reached Cannes, deserves preservation to today's standards.
