Look Development

Here is how this works in practice. We deliver look development as a pre-production and early-post discipline, defining a project's visual language before principal photography and refining it through the grade. Our team builds reference frames, tests camera and lens combinations, designs viewing LUTs for the monitor and DIT cart, and sets up the contrast, palette and texture the film will carry. Morocco's light is a major factor in this work — the hard, directional sun of the Sahara and Atlas, the warm reflected tone of stone locations like Aït Benhaddou and Ouarzazate, the cooler coastal light of Essaouira.

Setting up the look early means each of those versions is a faithful trim rather than a re-invention. The post sector in Casablanca and Rabat now handles this creative groundwork in-country alongside grading and conform.
